When everyone in the world is taking a deep breath and looking out the window, the new covid variant- The Omicron appears and forces everyone back into their homes. Rather than our closed ones, the daily media, scientists, and government consume the majority of our time. Every day, hundreds of pages of study papers are published from every part of the globe, containing thousands of information about Covid and hundreds of facts opposing existing research and vaccines. People lined up to get a booster dosage after receiving a double dose vaccine, and recent research suggests that those who were twice vaccinated and had a booster dose are more sensitive to The Omicron.
What is the way forward?
Sincerely, I have no idea, and I believe no one does. But, based on my meagre grasp of genetics, I know that The Omicron is not Covid's final variant; I'm not sure when a new variety will emerge and wreak havoc. Due to the last two years of lockdown, there is economic misery all over the world, and the government has no specific strategy to put a lockdown in place before the Covid spike. Everyone wants to be heard and believes that life is far better than not having enough money to eat. Then every parent will tell their child that they need to get a government job and that if they stay at home, the government will pay them. Those who are not government employees are envious of those who work for the government.I am an adult, thus I may argue that if the Covid's fatality rate is less than 2%, why should we be concerned? Most of the time, we don't give a damn about the 2%. But the fact that 2% of those present are dead people makes us panic.
Don't be concerned about this. Religious folks will remark that his or her time has passed. Politicians will pose for sympathetic photos, researchers will work tirelessly to limit any potential harm, people will protest, people will stay at home, neglected people will die, and many people will be affected and cured. Time will move on. The normalisation process will begin, and after two or three months, people will spend every penny they have to restore their businesses, and the New variant will emerge.
